On September 9, 2005, at its 23rd anniversary CPBC hosted a dinner in Toronto. It was attended a large number of Members, Friends and Supporters of Canada-Pakistan Business Council.

Andy Merchant made a small presentation on the history and workings of CPBC to date. The dinner was followed by musical program where the audience enjoyed a memorable performance by Shahid Ali Khan, disciple of the great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
